Child Health Profiles for the North East

This document profiles the population of children and young people in the North East of England using routinely available data. The aim was to focus on children and young people with disabilities, and young people in transition between children and adult services, so that these populations could be profiled with a view to addressing their needs. However a search of the available data sources has shown that little information is available about either of these groups. The main data sources are listed in Appendix 1.. This profile includes basic demographics and fertility rates, infant and child heath information and some data on children with learning or physical disabilities in the North East.
