Health Impact of the Regional Spatial Strategy

The determinants of health are wide and include employment, wealth, education, housing, transport and the environment. The purpose of this report is to support the development of a Regional Spatial Strategy (RSS) by ensuring that issues of public health, health inequalities and health care are incorporated into the strategy. A screening Health Impact Assessment (HIA)was undertaken on pre-consultation draft of the strategy. This is now being made available during the formal period of consultation on the RSS - see http://www.viewnortheast.com/ - to help others to consider issues of importance to health.
